day 1

oaxaca, mexico.

i came up to a appo protest. over a year ago the government slashed funding to the schools. the teachers protested and went on strike. they got the interest of appo, a socialist student group. and last year they clashed with the federales. this was the anniversary protest of three people passing away from police actions.

made it through day one, eight rolls of film down. but i least i found a place to buy more stuff if a really need it.

the challenge is to get to mitla and tlacoluma tomorrow.

i can't believe that the hostel tv is on its second bad american movie...
